My trip to OKC was awesome! We drove from Texas direct. The first day we went to the OKC zoo.
The zoo is very organized and there is a wide variety of animals. Personally I'm opposed to caging animals, I believe they should be able to live FREE in their own habitat.
The second day we went to the OKC Memorial and took the tour. What a powerful tour! There are interactive displays, narrated bits and PLENTY of actual footage including video, newspaper and artifacts of the day.
I LOVE architecture and the buildings downtown were gorgeous!
You've got to see Bricktown! Lots of restaurants and shops. Very family friendly.
We had an early dinner at Nic's. It was AMAZING! Request a table in the cellar.
I took LOTS of photos of OKC. (Too many to post). If you're looking for an affordable family get away - OKC is a great option.
Growing up in Los Angeles in the 70s/80s we visited Disneyland on a regular basis and often after school, before "Annual Passes".
