But don’t worry—I’m not going to hand you a rigid checklist or tell you to rush from one ride to the next. Instead, think of this as friendly guidance from someone who grew up at the park and knows how to blend efficiency with enchantment.

From lockers to lunch, strollers to snack stops, this guide is your behind-the-scenes helper so you can focus on what really matters: making memories.

Stroller Tips That Make a Difference
If you're bringing a stroller—or renting one in the park—here are some friendly reminders:

• ✅ Stroller rentals are available just outside Disneyland Park, near the main entrance.
  • Single: $18/day
  • Double: $36/day
• ✅ Strollers can’t go on escalators—use ramps and elevators instead.
• ✅ Cast Members may move your stroller while you’re on rides to keep foot traffic clear.
• ✅ Clearly label your stroller—I like to tie a ribbon, tag, or even a balloon to mine to help it stand out in a sea of wheels.
• ✅ No wagons or stroller wagons are allowed.
• ✅ Stroller size limits: no wider than 31” and no longer than 52”.

Rhonda’s Tip: If your child falls asleep, let them nap in the shade while you take a snack break or do some light shopping nearby. The best days are paced—not rushed.

Lockers: Your Home Base in the ParkWhether you’ve packed extra clothes, snacks, or just want to lighten your load, lockers are your best friend.
Locker Locations:

• Inside Disneyland: Main Street, U.S.A. (just past the entrance on the right)
• Inside DCA: Buena Vista Street near the Chamber of Commerce
• Esplanade Lockers: Between the parks, accessible all day—even if you leave and come back

Pricing (per day):

• Small: $7
• Medium: $10
• Large (Esplanade only): $12–$15

Disneyland allows you to bring in your own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, as long as they’re in a soft-sided cooler no larger than a six-pack. Dry ice and loose ice are not allowed, but reusable ice packs are just fine.

There’s also a picnic area outside the main gate if you want to sit down and eat a homemade meal.
Mobile Ordering (Highly Recommended!):

• Use the Disneyland app to order food in advance and skip long lines.
• Select your pick-up time, order your food, and show up when it’s ready.
• Available at dozens of locations, including:
  • Bengal Barbecue
  • Red Rose Taverne
  • Jolly Holiday Bakery
  • Flo’s V8 Café
  • Pym Test Kitchen

Rhonda’s Tip: Plan your lunch or dinner window in advance, especially if you’re eating during peak hours (12–2 p.m. or 5–7 p.m.). Even mobile order windows can book up during busy seasons!

Parades, Shows & Entertainment Strategies
One of the most magical moments for any Disneyland visit is catching a parade or nighttime spectacular—but here’s the secret: knowing when and where to watch makes all the difference.

Best Parade Viewing Spots:

• Main Street, U.S.A.: Classic view, but fills up early
• Small World Plaza: Less crowded, shady spots available
• Frontierland near the Golden Horseshoe: Great for families with little ones—grab a churro and wait in comfort

Tip: For daytime parades, arrive 30–45 minutes early. For nighttime shows (like fireworks or Fantasmic!), give yourself a solid hour or more, especially on weekends or holidays.

Rhonda’s Tip: Keep bubbles or glow sticks in your bag to help little ones stay entertained while waiting for shows to start. It turns the waiting into part of the fun!

Height Restrictions & Rider Switch
Disneyland is built for all ages—but not all rides are. Always check the height requirement signs outside each attraction or in the app.
If you're with little ones, use Rider Switch:

• One adult waits with the child while others ride
• Then you switch without waiting in line again

You can request Rider Switch from a Cast Member at the attraction entrance—just ask! It’s a great way for grown-ups to enjoy thrill rides without skipping a beat.

Taking Breaks Without Missing the MagicEven the most magical day needs a rest. Here are some of my favorite quiet places to recharge:Disneyland:

• The benches near the Partners Statue (Walt & Mickey)
  
• Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough—cool, quiet, and immersive
• The Main Street Cinema—a true hidden gem!

DCA:

• Grizzly Peak’s shaded paths
  
• Animation Academy lobby (air conditioning + seating!)
• The trail near Redwood Creek Challenge for kids to explore safely

Rhonda’s Tip: Don’t worry if you don’t get to everything on your list. The most precious moments often come during the pauses—when someone is giggling in the shade with a churro, or you’re simply watching the world go by on Main Street.

What Is Single Rider? And when should you use it?
If you don’t mind riding separately from your group—or you have a teen or adult who’s willing to go solo--Single Rider is a hidden gem. It allows guests to skip the standby line and fill in empty seats on attractions, meaning you’ll often board much faster.
It’s perfect for:

• Teens who want to ride thrill rides more than once
• Parents taking turns while someone waits with littles
• Adults who are happy flying solo for a bit of magic

Just let a Cast Member at the attraction entrance know you'd like to use Single Rider. They'll direct you to a separate queue. It's not always instant, but it's usually significantly shorter than the regular wait time.

Rhonda’s Tip: Single Rider is available on select attractions, and sometimes it’s turned off during very low or very high crowd levels—so always ask!

Disneyland Attractions with Single Rider (as of 2026):

A Few Friendly Reminders:

• You’ll skip the pre-show or themed queue in most cases.
• You can’t request to sit with your party (though sometimes Cast Members are extra magical if the ride layout allows it).
• Rider must meet all height and safety requirements—no exceptions.
