Fall down a rabbit hole into a world of your own and join Alice for a mad tea party! Her classic look is reimagined in wonderful detail with puffed sleeves, a large bow on her back and a cup of tea in hand to toast to a very merry unbirthday.
Alice holds her cup of tea. On one side there is a heart, while on the other side - well is half a cup of tea of course! What I love about Miss Mindy, as an artist, she really captures the story and special details of each character. In this case, with Alice, you can see the white rabbit in the pupil of her large eyes, the Door Mouse is asleep inside her apron pocket and there are hearts on her white stockings. Alice is standing on her tip toes, but her large apron strings help keep her balanced. She will stand on her own and doesn't require a doll stand. I am in love with Alice! She was my first real doll and my first musical theater role. Alice always holds a special place in my heart. Mindy's whimsical vinyl figures are so special. Alice is very solid weight. If you accidentally dropped her (heaven forbid) she would not shatter.
You'll be mad for Miss Mindy's captivating Cheshire Cat and his famous toothy grin. He happily welcomes you to Wonderland with a charming mini mome rath. Be sure to add this delightfully devious shapeshifter to your collection before he disappears!
Not only is his grin mischievous, but that wink! You know he is up to something. I love his heart shaped nose with a whiskered mustache and how he stands confidently with his hands on his hips. Note Cheshire's polka dot ears and white collar. The Mome Rath looks up wide eyed, hoping not to be stepped on, no doubt. The curls of his hair are even visible from behind. Look closely and you'll see his paw prints are in the shape of a heart. His fluffy tail has a reddish colored tip and helps keep him balanced. No doll stand required. Miss Mindy's boxes are even show stoppers. I love the stage and curtain design. You may chose to display the vinyl figures in their open front boxes, but I prefer to keep them out in the open.
World of Miss Mindy dolls are available at Hot Topic. My Aunt is the Bomb-dot-com! I asked her to make me a OOAK Wonderland wreath and she went right to work.
I found these Disneyland parade photos from 2002. I'm not sure what the name of the parade was, but here are images of Alice and the Mad tea party, the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.
Fantasyland was my favorite part of the park growing up. The music and the rides were magical. The Mad Hatter from the classic Walt Disney animated feature "Alice in Wonderland", pose at the Mad Tea Party at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. Disneyland guests riding the classic Fantasyland attraction spin across a giant turntable in oversized tea cups. Inspired by the classic Disney animated movie, "Alice in Wonderland," the Mad Tea Party attraction at Disneyland Park recreates the film's madcap "unbirthday" sequence featuring the Mad Hatter and March Hare's chaotic tea party. My brother was DETERMINED to make me sick on this ride once it started! And HE DID! I was so dizzy and nauseous. Alice in Wonderland was Disneyland’s (and Disney’s!) first two-level ride-through attraction. Due to the spatial constraints of the original Fantasyland, the majority of the attraction actually takes place on the second floor, right above of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride! This ride is the ONLY version. The original opened June 14, 1958. No other Disney Park has this dark ride. |
