Remember Saturday mornings with cartoons, cereal, and a prize in the box? That childhood magic is back — but with a wicked twist! I’ve created a full set of Lost Villain Cereal Boxes you can make at home. Each printable design features a bold cartoon villain mascot on the front, and a Fun Zone activity panel on the back (mazes, riddles, word scrambles, and cut-outs!). Whether you’re a Disney fan, a crafter, or just someone who loves nostalgia, this is a project you can enjoy year-round — not just at Halloween. What Is the Lost Villain Cereal Collection? Inspired by the quirky Funko cereals of 2019, this craft reimagines what might have been if the villains had their own Saturday morning cereals. I designed six parody boxes, each one themed after a different classic villain archetype: Sea Witch Bites (NEW bonus design!) Flaming Crunch Royal Apple Crunch Crazy Dots Crunch Savanna Crunch Captain Cruncher Heart Tarts Crunch Each design is 8.5x11 printable size so you can glue it onto any cereal box at home. How to Make Your Own Villain Cereal Box Supplies: 1 regular cereal box (full or empty) Printed villain cereal front + back panels (available on my Patreon) Scissors Glue stick or double-sided tape Optional: clear contact paper for a glossy finish Steps: 1. Choose your cereal box (any standard size works). 2. Print your villain cereal panels on 8.5x11 paper. 3. Cut out the designs and glue them onto the front and back of your cereal box. 4. Smooth out any bubbles, and finish with clear contact paper if you want extra shine. 5. Display proudly on your shelf — and don’t forget to do the Fun Zone activities! Final Thoughts Sometimes the best way to preserve nostalgia is to reimagine the magic that never was. These cereal boxes never existed on store shelves — but now you can bring them to life in your own home. Grab a box of cereal, print your favorite villain, and relive the Saturday morning fun! Every now and then, a creative project comes along that perfectly captures the spirit of childhood, imagination, and the legacy of Disney storytelling. My dear friend Shelly did just that with her heartwarming and detail-rich Toy Story–themed American Girl doll display — and it’s so magical, I knew it deserved a spotlight here on Technicolor Memories. Inspired by Andy’s iconic bedroom, Shelly transformed a cozy space into a vibrant scene straight out of Pixar’s beloved world. From hand-cut clouds to tiny aliens, her attention to detail is nothing short of extraordinary. ☁️ A Sky Full of Clouds: The Backdrop Shelly hand-cut over 200 clouds (yes, 200!) to create a full-scale replica of Andy’s bedroom sky wallpaper. She mounted these onto two large trifold presentation boards, crafting a whimsical and immersive backdrop that instantly brings you into the Toy Story universe. The soft blue sky and floating clouds aren’t just a backdrop — they’re a symbol of Andy’s daydreams, of childhood adventure, and of the sky’s the limit when it comes to playtime. What makes this display truly one-of-a-kind is how Shelly converted her American Girl dolls into Toy Story characters, specifically styled as boy dolls to fit the world of Andy and his toys. With careful hair styling, custom outfits, and themed props, these dolls become stand-ins for the young boy’s beloved crew.
Each mini display was lovingly staged to include:
Props like Buzz Lightyear’s wings, Woody’s cowboy hat, and pizza-themed items for that perfect Pixar touch There are many ways to do this craft. You can use quality paper plates, paintable craft plates or basic dishware. The plates I used for this craft were purchased at the Dollar Tree. They are gold rimmed white salad/dessert plates. Using a Cricut machine, you can print out your favorite images and adhere them to the center of the plate. Be sure to seal them with Mod Podge Spray Acrylic Sealer. It's specifically formulated to seal crafts. The dishes WILL NOT be dishwasher or microwave safe and not food safe. These are strictly for display.
