Audio-Animatronics can often have more than one life in Disney parks. These geese, originally a quartet in America Sings, are no exception. As their original show was winding down, a new attraction was being created. Splash Mountain. The goose animatronics (along with the other animatronics of America Sings) were repurposed for the newly developed attraction. Their patriotic clothes were traded for a more country look. But two of the geese found themselves in a different type of attraction. These geese would be removed of their synthetic skins and turned into droids named G2-9T and G2-4T in the Star Tours queue.
While Splash Mountain has closed, and we wait to see if some of these animatronics return, you can still see the Star Tours geese, greeting guests in their second life, 50 years after their America Sings debut. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon these at the Dollar Tree!! $5 each! You can see the review for Han Solo in a PREVIOUS POST.
Padmé first met Obi-Wan, shortly after the Invasion of Naboo started, when he and his mentor, Qui-Gon Jinn rescued her from the Trade Federation's battle droids, they do not have much interaction with each other. However, throughout the Clone Wars the two become close friends. In Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Padmé's friendship with Obi-Wan became strained, after Anakin told her of Obi-Wan's manipulations to use him as a spy for his own purposes, she did not believe him when he told her of husband's dark deeds, mainly because she was in denial and partly because of what Anakin told her, to reassure herself that what he had said was not true, she traveled to Mustafar to ask Anakin herself; unknown to Padmé, Obi-Wan had stowed away on her Naboo star skiff, so he could find Vader and kill him. Before Padmé's death, she told Obi-Wan that there was still good left in Anakin and one day he can be redeemed, but Obi-Wan didn't believe her. Padme's belief in her husband proved right when he sacrificed himself to save their son, Luke. Thank you Curtis (Obi Wan Kenobi) for collaborating with me on this special project.

Hoth was a remote, icy planet that was the sixth planet in the star system of the same name, located in the Anoat sector of the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories. It was the homeworld to the primitive wampa species.
It notably hosted Echo Base during the Galactic Civil War, the temporary headquarters of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, until the Galactic Empire located them, initiating a major confrontation known as the Battle of Hoth. In the months following, scavengers established temporary base camps on the planet to scrap the AT-ATs destroyed. In the months after the Battle of Endor, rumors that the New Republic intended to repurpose Hoth into a prison for those who remained loyal to the Empire, however the credibility of the rumors were dismissed as Chancellor Mon Mothma had been dedicated to a pretext of justice over punishment. Meanwhile the war returned to Hoth, where it became the site of another battle during the Iron Blockade. |
