Sally is the deuteragonist in Disney's 1993 stop-motion film The Nightmare Before Christmas. She is a rag doll monster from Halloween Town, created by Dr. Finkelstein. An intelligent, yet inconspicuous woman, Sally yearns for independence, but is repeatedly restrained by her overprotective creator.
Sally is Jack Skellington's love interest. She is a very pretty, loving, caring, and shy rag doll who told Jack that Christmas and Halloween shouldn't be mixed. She is originally patched together by Doctor Finkelstein. Sally is the only one to have doubts about Jack's Christmas plan. From The World of Miss Mindy Designer vinyl collection comes a very special "Holiday Edition" of the Nightmare Before Christmas leading lady Sally trading her Nightshade for some holly. Scary Teddy is also included in this set.
Miss Mindy has captured Sally's essence! I love the stitching on her face, arms and legs - not to mention the details of her dress! She has a sprig of holly in her hair for the holidays and a twinkle of "Jack Skellington" in her eye. Sally stands on her tip toes and the strings of her bow help create a tripod, she does not need a doll stand. Just look at the details on her face, Miss Mindy has paid attention to each feature and to the pattern of her dress. Teddy looks as if he is trying his best to be scary, but he is truly adorable. Even the display boxes are special. I HIGHLY recommend the World of Miss Mindy vinyl characters! They are vibrant, unique and a treasure to display. Available at Hot Topic.
