In 1985, McDonald's had a promo for the Big Mac Value Pack which included a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder, large french fries and large drink. All summer long, my friend and I tried to win the sweepstakes. Various tickets, much like the Monopoly game, were attached to french fries and drinks. I won "free medium fries" tickets twice, my friend won a "free medium coke". The GRAND prize was $4.95 admission to Disneyland! I remember sitting in the living room watching KTLA and some campy horror flick on Elvira's show. My dad was going on a McDs run and I requested a Big Mac Value Pack....when I peeled back the ticket - it read - $4.95 Disneyland admission for one.
