Rolly Crump's design for the enchanted Romani wagon was later reworked for Madame Leota's Vardo. The Vardo serves as a form of small gift-shop located outside of the Haunted Mansion while the more legitimate and expansive gift shop, "Port Royal Curios and Curiosities" is located in one of alleys of New Orleans Square. The cart is decorated to be the Vardo which Madame Leota would have used while still alive in New Orleans, alluding towards her backstory being that of a traveling Romani medium in the late 18th-19th century. The writing on the cart references her having performed seances, crystal gazing, performing parlour tricks, brewed potions, selling mysterious tomes and casting magic spells. - Haunted Mansion Wiki

Pirates of the Caribbean opened March 18, 1967, just three months after Walt Disney's death and was the last Disneyland attraction of which he participated. My step dad's brother, got his Masters Degree in mechanical engineering in 1965 in TX. After moving to Pasadena, CA he was working at a firm that was hired to do the A/C and plumbing for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. There are 630,000 gallons of water, 53 audio-animatronic animals and birds, and 75 audio-animatronic pirates and villagers in the attraction, and it takes three days to empty and refill the "bayou" for renovations. The original Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland park, which inspired a global phenomenon and launched a highly popular film franchise, adds new magic in 2018 with a new scene. Fans from the attraction’s early days may hear a familiar voice as a pirate shares the cautionary tale of a cursed treasure as they pass a swashbuckler caught in a booby-trap.
