the building isn’t completely original. Walter Knott was unable to move the building whole, so the significant features such as the steeple, pews and stained glass windows imported from Belgium were brought over. Since it was built in Downey in 1876, the Church of Reflections has been moved three times. Later this year, once church supporters have raised the estimated $300,000 it could cost to move the building, it will be lifted, placed on wheels and rolled about a mile southwest to Buena Park’s Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
