Crowds lined up as early as 2:00am outside the gates of Disneyland Park, Anaheim. The Disney app was up and running at 8:00am for those wishing to get on the Rise of the Resistance. Groups were assigned and SOLD OUT within 45 seconds of the opening! Needless to say there were LONG wait times.
R2 D2 was out greeting guests.
Once inside the staging area, groups were given a color assigned specific to each group for seating positions. Storm Troopers were on patrol to maintain control of the "prisoners".
Once inside a holding cell, prisoners are visited by Kylo Ren until he is interrupted and needed on the bridge. It's at that moment the prisoners are aided in escaping when an exit is made for them through one of the walls. They are then loaded onto prisoner transports driven by droids.
Uh oh! SPOTTED by Storm Troopers, the prisoners have to try to make an escape quickly before Kylo Ren is told.
Stay tuned for Part Two!
Growing up in Los Angeles in the 70s/80s we visited Disneyland on a regular basis and often after school, before "Annual Passes".
